Terms of service

These terms govern the use of the Foxi Taxi platform operated by Verteco Digital Services s.r.o., Bratislava, Slovakia. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms.
1. The service
Foxi Taxi is a platform that connects riders with licensed drivers and operates the transport service: it matches, dispatches and prices rides and processes payments. Rides are performed by drivers who hold the licences required by applicable transport law.
2. Accounts
You must be at least 18 years old to create an account. You agree to provide accurate information and to keep your login credentials safe. One person may hold one rider account and, if approved, one driver account. We may suspend accounts used fraudulently or in breach of these terms.
3. Pricing
Before you order, you receive a fixed price quote based on the estimated route, current tariff and demand. The confirmed quote is binding for both sides. The final fare may differ only if you change the destination, add stops or the ride materially deviates from the quoted route at your request.
4. Payments
You can pay by payment card stored in the app or in cash. Card payments are pre-authorised at the start of the ride and captured at the end; the captured amount never exceeds the pre-authorised amount. Receipts are available in the app. Card payments are processed by Stripe.
5. Cancellations and no-show
You may cancel free of charge until a driver accepts your ride. After acceptance, a cancellation fee stated in the app may apply to compensate the driver. If you do not appear at the pickup point within a reasonable waiting time, the ride may be cancelled with a no-show fee.
6. Driver terms
Drivers use the platform under a separate driver agreement. Drivers are obliged to hold all licences required by law, to maintain their vehicle in a roadworthy condition and to comply with transport regulations. The platform currently charges drivers no commission on completed rides; card earnings are paid out weekly in full and cash fares stay with the driver.
7. Liability
We provide the platform with due professional care but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law, including liability for damage caused intentionally. Statutory consumer rights remain unaffected.
8. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms, for example when we launch in new cities or add features. We will notify you of material changes in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
9. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Slovak Republic. Disputes will be resolved by the competent Slovak courts; consumers may also use alternative dispute resolution or the court at their place of residence where the law so provides.
